Difference between the Esx and Esxi ?

  1. Esx is a full weight hypervisor.
  2. Esx is tailed with the rhel kernal and console,Vmkernal.
  3. Esx is console operation system (COS).
  4. Esx install third party tool through the RHEL Console :-  Firewall.
  5. Esx total size is 760MB Code.
  6. By default the console is hidden we need to enable the console.

  1. Esxi is a light weight Hypervisor.
  2. Esxi total size is 360 MB code.
  3. Restart and Shutdown Fast,Install Fast & Boot Fast.
  4. No firewall 
  5. Aftter 4.1 they slide changed the console is opened.
  6. In 5.1 Firewall is Implemented but not full pressed firewall.
  7. Gui Shell

DHCP FAILED APIPA IS USED

Hi to all, In a Cisco packet tracer while i am trying to connect the dhcp server to pc it will getting the error like dhcp failed. APIPA is being used. For this issues this is also one reason.dhcp is not configured correctly. If we create a  vlan's in the switch's and we configured dhcp server in the layer 3 switch or layer 2 switch or in router. VLAN 10 NAME SALES VLAN 20 NAME DATA We created two vlan's now creating dhcp server for that  Switch(config)#ip dhcp pool name sales (should be the vlan name. not any other name.)
