Windows Deployment Service(Wds) Stops working on clients error:Pxe-e32 tftp Open Timeout

Windows Deployment Service(WDS) Stops working on clients error:Pxe-e32 TFTP Open Timeout

This happens when the DNS Server is running on the same machine as WDS. DNS Uses the ports that TFTP service needs. This can leed to pc's not Booting at all just sitting there failing to tftp if their boot order has Lan set higher than hdd.

If any one face this type of problem with your wds installtion try this

WINDOWS SERVER 2008 R1-

1.Open the windows deployment services management console.

2.In the WDS expand your server and right click the server and open the properties.

3. Under Network setting, increase the UDP Port range.

For example- If the current UDP Port Range is 64001 to 65000,

increase the port range to: 60001 to 65000.

4.Restart the Windows Deployment Services service.
